St.Barth- Hot Destination For New Years Eve

New Years Eve is a week away ever wonder where are the hottest places to go? Lets take a look at what travellers crave to ring in 2017...

Known for its crystal beaches, celebrity sightings, never-ending Rose and dancing the night away, St. Barth's is definitely one of the best places to ring in the New Year and one of my favourite islands. You can never go wrong once you’re in St. Barth. First, grab a copy of Pure Magazine St. Barth at the airport. It is a hot magazine that will fill you in on everything St. Barth and the photos are not bad either. One thing about St. Barth, even if they are selling you a curtain blind, it is going to be a hot girl in that ad. Sex sells and in St. Barth they welcome the beauty of the female body. Second, pick up a few chilled bottles of Minuty Rose and Veuve Clicquot (Rose or regular) right by the airport. Head off to your villa (easier on your wallet to rent one with friends). Villas For Rent By Owners, Luxury Retreats and VRBO are three of my favourites for great rentals. Here you are sure to find the right villa on a perfect piece of this magical land, just remember to book early for the best deals. St. Barth can be done on a budget and you can still have a blast. TripAdvisor, Priceline and Booking.com always seem to have great prices. St. Barth is family friendly too, so bring the kids. They have many great nanny services on the island and lots for kids to do during the day.

Hotels never disappoint here. There is decadence everywhere and you can find a variety of beautiful hotels all around. Tom Beach Hotel in St.Jean is always at the top of my list. It is a luxury boutique hotel with twelve stunning rooms and a beautiful villa right on the beach. There is also a beautiful art gallery and a fantastic restaurant called Le Plage where you eat in the sand, lie right by the ocean and dance, dance, dance. Famous for their bikini Brunch, amazing live performances and hot musical acts it will get you jamming into the night. Beautiful people are everywhere and that includes the staff. Be sure to watch the many fashion shows that go on daily. You will want to run to the boutique on site to pick up everything from hot bikinis, cool t-shirts and dresses to die for. Owner Thierry De Baderau is living the dream and passing that joy onto you. Whether you’re having lunch or dinner, you will be salivating over the food, sipping fabulous libations and feeling the beat. It’s just a perfect place to be. Hotel Christopher, located in Pointe Milou is also another great choice. I love the infinity pool here because the ocean is a bit rougher on this part of the island. The rooms are beautiful and exude tranquility. The food is divine and there is also a world class spa to indulge your every need. The shopping is clearly on point. Nearly every restaurant and hotel has a boutique. It is a perfect getaway both elegant and secluded. What I love about the Christopher, is that you can choose from a variety of vacation packages which makes life much easier.

My favourites would not be complete if I did not mention the ever sheik Guanahani Beach Club Resort in Gustavia. I have spent a lot of time here and it is really something special. Every morning you can start with the delicious buffet breakfast that never ends, or enjoy room service. You may choose to just hang at the beach bar and enjoy wickedly yummy libations or old favourites made just made with that signature Guanahani touch. Indulge in a variety of water activities that are available on the private beach. You have a choice of four restaurants to choose from Indigo (casual all day dining), Indigo On The Beach (barefoot elegance and all day dining), The Beach Bar (great for afternoon cocktails and a bottle of Rose to watch the sunset) and Bartolomeo (formal dining with a mediterranean menu to die for). The spa is pure luxury. The staff have perfected their art. The manis and pedis are superb and the massages take you to another world. While you are in heaven, you might as well get a body wrap and a facial too. The Guanahani is definitely for the guest who wants it all and wants it all right now. Each room is more plush than the next and many have private pools. They supply everything you need: signature thongs, sarongs and beach bags. The boutique is full of special items if you want to pick something up. Just get ready to be spoiled. There are many packages to choose from. You can do a cooking class or take a private cruise several choices for a vacation to remember.

The most important thing to me when I go on vacation is the food. I don’t care if the place is a hole in a wall, as long as I walk out with a smile on my face. One of my favourites in St. Barth is Santa Fe in Morne Lurin. I love lunch here because it is on the highest point on the island, with a spectacular view. You can see all the beauty of the island and it is also great for sunsets. The food is always enjoyable with enticing dishes made with local produce so everything is extremely fresh. Do Brazil is another great spot that is right on the beach. There you will find fabulous cocktails and great music and you can dance right in the sand or go for a swim followed by another cocktail. They have a wonderful staff, as well as a great boutique to pick up a hot item for the night. Maya’s restaurant is a great choice for dinner. Maya is the chef and her husband runs the floor. It’s impossible to forget this place. Definitely have the signature coconut tart. It is well worth making room for. The great thing about St. Barth, is they like to cook everything fresh, so the menus are always changing. I do recommend while on the island, to try the spiny caribbean lobster. It is prepared in so many different ways, you may want to try it at a few different restaurants.

St.Barth is known for fabulous parties, either day or night. You will definitely want to check out Le Ti. Get ready to dress in costume. as you may end up jumping on the tables, watching crazy performances, and eating your heart out. You could easily become part of the act without even knowing it. I would suggest Nikki Beach for lunch. You get to party to whatever badass Dj is there for the season from Ibiza. The champagne is always flowing, it has the beauty of being right on the water, and the you can just get up and dance anytime you want. I would never go to St. Barth without hitting these spots. So for you next vacation try this little french island it’s tres magnifique.
